Incy Wincy

Actually this beast is huge compared to our usual locals. Can anyone tell me what species it is? I'm sure it doesn't belong in this country, I've only ever seen this kind of thing on the tropics. Seen in Dorset, England.
A little further research tells me that it is a Wasp Spider, Argiope bruennichi.
